Announces New Winter Hours
The Franklin County Historical Society – Kittochtinny located at 175 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA preserves five historic sites on the National Register: Old Franklin County Jail, Old Brown’s Mill School, John Brown House, Carrick Iron Furnace and the Chambersburg – Bedford Turnpike Toll House. Genealogical archives, library and museum are open to the public at the Old Jail Thursday, Friday and Saturday, except holidays, 10 AM to 4 PM during the winter. The library and archives are also open during the winter months on Tuesday evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM. The John Brown House Museum is also open for winter hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday, except holidays, 10 AM to 4 PM. Nominal Admission.
